Summer:Skincare 2018

Want that perfect skin for the summer? Why not try this affordable brand The Ordinary, which have amazing skin products if you're on a budget.
For your makeup to look flawless and natural try The Ordinary primer. It creates a sticky surface which helps makeup last longer. Simultaneously, it conceals any skin blemishes and pores. The primer retails at £5.00 for a 30 ml glass bottle containing a pipet which makes it easy to use. This significant product can be found on websites like ASOS and Beautybay.

Another Ordinary product that will help get that summer glow is Niacinamide, which reduces the appearance of skin blemishes pores and future breakouts on the skin. This ultimately helps support the structure of the skin and improves moisture leaving your skin soft and smooth.

Lastly, another amazing product by The Ordinary is there lactic acid, Which targets uneven tones and defined lines. It has mild exfoliation. This serum improves skin texture and reduces the pigmentation caused by acne scars and age spots. The Ordinary also have 2 different concentrations of this product. They have a lactic acid 5% and lactic acid 10% which both lead to healthy and stronger looking skin.

From using these products, we recommend using the primer after washing face with lukewarm water. Only use 3 drops and apply all over face leaving a sticky matt feel, which allows the foundation to glide on. When using the Niacinamide just apply one drop to the affected area and leave it on overnight. The thick liquid will go from being clear to white on face overnight. Wash in the morning and redness should have gone down. Lastly, when using acid, only use it once a day preferably at night to sleep with it on overnight and wash in the morning.

  1. How do you know whether to use the 5% or the 10% lactic acid? I've been interested in using these products for a while so I might have to make a purchase after payday.

    1. I've used both and personally recommend if you have very severe acne/redness then I suggest you use the 10% one. However, if you don't have a lot of redness and your skin is very sensitive then I suggest you use the 5% one. Hope this helped!
